Thursday night singing in Geelong West is in its 15th year. The group is warm, welcoming and energetic. We sing a broad range of material in 2, 3 or 4 parts and celebrate an ever changing repertoire.

Our block structure of 4-6 weeks allows us to focus on 6-8 musical pieces per block. Each week the song deepens with a new part or focus and singers enjoy not only the joy of the final product but the process of building the multi-layered song and the opportunity to change parts whenever is desired.

The Thursday night group was the very first of the acabellas groups and several members are still present today since that very first night. In those early days we focused on short songs and rounds and as the experience and ability of all of us has deepened so too has the complexity and variety of the songs.

The group currently includes women and men of all ages. Attendees commit to a 5 week block at a time.

Sessions are held at Geelong West Community Hub, 89 Autumn Street, Geelong West 6:30pm – 8:00pm.
